72 Hours of Chaos, Tears, Gratitude & Growth ✨
Whew… the last 72 hours of my life have been something else. I don’t even know whether to laugh, cry, or take a nap that lasts the rest of the week.
It all started on Friday — moving day. After 16 years, I packed up every memory, every box, and every random thing I forgot I owned, and moved into my new place.
What most people don’t know is that I’ve been running Queendom’s Candles out of a cozy one-bedroom apartment. My business had completely taken over — the dining room became my candle lab, the living room smelled like vanilla, coffee, and peppermint 24/7, and the kitchen had more wax than food at times (no shame in my game 😅).
Still, that one-bedroom was my start. It was my humble beginning, my comfort zone, my creative space — and I’ll always be grateful for it.
But here’s where the chaos began. I paid someone to help me move, and guess what? They never showed up. Not a call. Not a text. Just disappeared like my patience by noon. Thank God for my little brother — my real-life superhero. He helped me pack, haul boxes, and move everything. He didn’t complain once, and honestly, I don’t know what I would’ve done without him.
Saturday morning hit hard. I went back to clean up my old apartment one last time. I dropped my keys in the box and told myself not to cry — but I almost did. Sixteen years in one place is a long time. That apartment saw me build my business from nothing. It saw my sleepless nights, my breakdowns, and my breakthroughs. Walking away wasn’t easy, but it was necessary.
Later that day, I ran errands, made candles, and tried to catch my breath before my next big task — a Sunday pop-up shop in Inkster, Michigan.
Now let me be honest… I didn’t feel ready. My products weren’t all packed. My setup wasn’t perfect. I was still surrounded by moving boxes. But when I got there, my customers showed up — and showed out. They supported me, laughed with me, and by the end of the day, I was completely sold out.
That moment reminded me why I started all this in the first place. The love, the community, the support — it’s everything.
Now I’m writing this from my new place — one that’s bigger, brighter, and built for growth. This new space represents a new chapter, a fresh start, and proof that God really does listen when you ask for more room to grow.
The past 72 hours were a mix of chaos, exhaustion, gratitude, and grace. But if there’s one thing I know for sure — sometimes life has to shake things up before it blesses you. And babyyyyy, I’m ready for my blessings. 💜✨
